Sabrina Carpenter has been named the preppy celebrity with the most sought-after wardrobe, according to new research.
Experts at clothing brand Superdry measured the worldwide search volume of various celebrities’ styles, including Lily Collins, Leighton Meester, and Alexa Chung, before ranking them from the highest to the lowest interest.
The Espresso singer witnessed an incredible 49,270 average monthly searches worldwide. While Sabrina Carpenter opts for a pin-up style during performances, she often sports a preppy look off-stage, and fans can’t resist her Peter Pan collars and pleated mini skirts paired with fitted blazers.
Pop star Olivia Rodrigo took second place with 34,550 average monthly searches. The jealousy, jealousy singer is known for adding her own touches to timeless preppy pieces, particularly when she pairs band tees and pleated skirts with knee–high socks and chunky loafers.
Zendaya claimed third place with 7,950 average monthly searches. Zendaya’s preppy looks often feature tailored trousers, sleek blazers, and sophisticated accessories, although her Wimbledon look is one of her most memorable, where she was spotted wearing a tweed blazer over a blue collared shirt.
Model Kendall Jenner landed in fourth place with 7,480 average monthly searches. When she’s not on the runway, Kendall is regularly spotted wearing oversized polo shirts tucked into tailored trousers, as well as sweater vests paired with straight-leg jeans and loafers.
Rihanna is in fifth place with 6,100 average monthly searches for her preppy-inspired outfits. While she is known for pushing boundaries with her fashion choices, she regularly works varsity jackets and structured blazers to embrace the preppy look.
Hailey Bieber took sixth place with 5,520 average monthly searches. Clean lines and neutral colours define her preppy style with classic pieces like polo shirts and penny loafers making frequent appearances in snapshots by the paparazzi.
Sofia Richie, who became the face of both “quiet luxury” and “old money aesthetic” trends, secured seventh place with 3,980 average monthly searches. Richie is no stranger to stripes, a pattern that is the epitome of preppy fashion, whether she implements them into her outfits through cardigans or dresses.
Blake Lively placed eighth with 3,120 average monthly searches. The actress sports tailored pieces with feminine touches that are reminiscent of her Gossip Girl character Serena van der Woodsen, whose Upper East Side wardrobe influenced a whole generation of fashion fans.
Gigi Hadid secured ninth place with 2,890 average monthly searches. The supermodel is regularly spotted wearing varsity sweaters and structured blazers, although she adds a modern twist by incorporating statement accessories.
Sydney Sweeney completed the top ten with 1,700 average monthly searches. The Anyone but You star mixes tweed jackets and pleated skirts with modern elements to give classic preppy pieces a fresh spin that is perfect for both red carpet events and casual outings.
